Coordination Visit to Kütahya Dumlupınar University October 2024
A coordination visit was held within the framework of the project "Master's Program in Eco-Mining and Innovative Natural Resources Management" (Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2-101082621) at Kütahya Dumlupınar University (Turkey).
The coordination visit aimed to expand new horizons and gain experience from leading global resource universities, which is extremely important for disseminating new mining knowledge among higher education students in Ukraine.
During the coordination visit, project participants from 10 resource universities of the consortium presented updated educational programs in resource-related specialties, developed in accordance with the best practices of EU universities. Participants also explored the educational programs, laboratory, and research facilities of Kütahya Dumlupınar University, opening opportunities for further scientific collaboration and academic mobility programs.
Methodological approaches to teaching disciplines in mining and environmental specialties were studied, and participants were introduced to educational equipment, laboratory facilities, and online platforms.
Developed educational and methodological materials for master's programs, implemented in the academic process of Dnipro University of Technology within the Erasmus+ EMINReM project, were presented. New business and scientific contacts were established, and working meetings were held to discuss opportunities for developing international cooperation in scientific research and academic mobility.
Over 50 thousand students of various education levels study at Kütahya Dumlupınar University. The city of Kütahya is notable for its history, which dates back to ancient times, making it a globally recognized leader in ceramic and porcelain production.
